I have three words for you … Senior Summer Camp! Mark your calendar and don’t miss it. Friday, August 22, 2008, from 8am until 2pm, senior adults and caregivers in our community have the opportunity to attend a FREE day of education sessions, vendor exhibits, door prizes and fun in the CLC. Classes focused on senior issues will be held in the classrooms upstairs from 8am until 11am. Topics range from “old salt” fishing secrets to tips on avoiding health care fraud. Vendor exhibits will open from 9:30am–2pm in the gym and a sack lunch will be served to all attendees. Last year we had over 600 people attend and many church members were there to help the seniors find their way around the building, pass out drinks and snacks and greet our visitors. If you would like to volunteer this year, please contact Alice Williams at Libbie’s Place (409)741-2538 and she will gladly assign you a task where you are most needed. This will be a blessed and busy day in our church and I hope many of you can be here.
