MISSION AND OUTREACH
Salvation Army suppers

- Every Tuesday afternoon from 4:30–6:30pm year-round by Sunday School classes and other groups, all volunteers welcome. Contact Barbara Moore through the church office at (409)744-4526.
Mission Work Days
- Various Saturdays throughout the year, minor home repairs and safety modifications. Contact Jim Davis.
Mission Week: April 26 - May 3
- Home repairs range from minor to major, painting, yard work, children's projects.
- Volunteers needed in construction, cleaning, painting, yard work, food prep, child care, and logistics.

Methodist Men Gleanings from the Harvest
The outreach mission of the United Methodist Men will meet the first Saturday of each month at Gleanings from the Harvest at 903 Broadway. They meet at 8:45am until 3pm. You may work all or part of the 51/2 hours. Call Bobby St.Clair through the church office at (409)744-4526 to sign-up. The task is to help clients pick out their food products and restock shelves.
Santa's Toy Workshop
- Workshop every Saturday morning in the fall to make wooden toys for needy children for Christmas: sawing, sanding, painting, gluing, sewing…

Angel Tree
- Share the joy of Christmas with needy children.

Seaside Treasure Festival
- Annual craft fair to raise funds for local missions, church-wide participation.

Medical Bridges
Volunteers carry medical supplies donated by UTMB and Shriners to warehouse in Houston. Contact Vivian Pinard.
Society of St. Stephen
Charitable assistance to the needy of Galveston. Contact Lisa Wilson.
Gleaning From The Harvest of Galveston
Volunteers are needed to assist with distribution of Angel Food Boxes for the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program. Contact Mark Davis for more information.

WORSHIP
Lay Readers
June White is leading the quest for lay readers for our Sunday services and would appreciate your participation. Contact June at rjunewhite@aol.com or through the church office at (409)744-4526 if you would be interested in being a Lay Reader.
Altar Guild
The need for an Altar Guild is sorely felt and Joanne Springer is leading an effort to interest members of Moody to participate in this worthwhile project. Members of the church who are interested in helping to form or serve on a Guild are asked to contact Joanne at joannes54321@sbcglobal.net or through the church office at (409)744-4526. Volunteers for all worship services are also needed.
YOUTH AND CHILDREN
Snack Suppers
People are needed to feed our amazing teenagers during Youth Group on Sunday nights! UMYF meets on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:30pm in the Youth Center, and we eat at 5:30pm. The church provides plates, cups and drinks. If you or your Sunday school class is available to provide dinner, please contact Kate Solmonsson through the church office at (409)744-4526.
Children’s Church
The Children’s Council announces a new ministry of Moody Methodist Church for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Immediately following the Children’s moment during the Contemporary Worship Service, the children will go to the Multi-ministry room to learn more about God, the Bible and Christianity through interactive “Sermons” such as puppet plays and skits. Afterward, the children will rejoin their parents in the Worship Service. Adults and parents, if you wish to help or participate in this new ministry, please contact Renee Templer at renee@moody.org or call the church office.
WESLEY CAMPUS MINISTRY
Meals
People to cook and serve meals for Wesley Campus Ministry at 7pm Sunday and Wednesday. About 20 people attend.
Coffee Shop
Volunteers to staff the Genesis Coffee Shop afternoons and evenings. Make and serve drinks and make people feel welcome.
