Music Ministry
There are many opportunities to participate in music at Moody Memorial First United Methodist Church. Vocal, instrumental, traditional, contemporary, there is a group for you to join and lift your praise to God!
Chancel Choir – under the direction of Mike Gilbert, this choir sings weekly at the 11:00 a.m. traditional service and offers special programs throughout the year.
Hispanic Worship team – under the direction of Ray Pinard and Rocio Garza, this group includes keyboards, drums, guitars, horns and vocalists in an energetic style of praise.
Celebration Worship team – under the direction of Mark Pinard this group includes musicians and vocalists to lead music for our contemporary worship service
Handbells – Moody has two adult handbell choirs. Marjorie Rasche directs the Moody Bell Ringers, a group of adults 65+ who perform at functions at Moody Methodist and beyond. Tish Massey provides leadership for our Festival Handbell Choir. This group performs in groups and as individuals for different worship services.
Children’s Choirs – Nancy Bridgwater and Mike Gilbert direct our children’s choir program for children in Kindergarten-6th Grade. The children sing at a variety of worship services.
Cheerful Chimers – This is our children’s handchime choir, under the direction of Tish Massey.
