The Collection
Although a large portion of the collection relates to religious history and doctrines, these are not limited to Methodism or even Christianity. There is an abundance of materials on nearly all subjects and for all ages. Materials are primarily in English and Spanish and include large print editions. Since the church operates a large day school, the library contains a vast collection of materials for children and teachers. These materials are of special interest to parents who home-school their children.
We are affiliated with the Rosenberg Library in downtown Galveston. (http://www.rosenberg-library.org/) That means that if you want a book from their (excellent) collection, we can have it delivered to you via our church library. Both the Robbie Farmer Memorial Library and the Rosenberg Library collections are searchable from our computers.
We also have magazines, video tapes, audio tapes, DVD's and computer games.

History
The Robbie Farmer Memorial Library was created when the church building was renovated and expanded in 1998. It is named in memory of a long-time church member. The library is a part of the church's educational ministry and seeks to provide materials for Christian learning and lifelong enrichment. It is fully automated and open to all free of charge.
Volunteering
Keeping a library vibrant and up-to-date requires effort. If you would like to meet other bibliophiles while serving a good cause, please contact our Librarian, Lynn Burke at (409)744-4526 or by e-mail: lburke@moody.org. Thanks!
Computer Use
The library contains on-line computers for public use. Computer users must agree to the Computers and Networks Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and return the signed agreement before using the computers. Parents are required to give written permission for minors to use the computers. This is a largely "self-service" library, with instructions for borrowing and returning materials clearly posted in the event that a volunteer is not on duty to assist you.
Book Drop
A book drop in our South Parking Lot makes it easy to return books from both the Robbie Farmer Memorial Library and the Rosenberg Library.
Donations
The library welcomes contributions for the purchase of suitable materials which can be designated as memorials or to honor friends and family members.
Donations of books and other media which may be added to the library or included in its used book sales are encouraged as well.
