Jazz Sunday
A special day in worship praising God through the great style of jazz music.
Jazz Sunday will be held on February 12 during the 11am Traditional Service. Director Richard Birk returns with his group of outstanding musicians with jazz accompaniments of traditional hymns, spirituals and original compositions for jazz worship.
Jazz Sunday began leading jazz worship services in 1990 at Christ Lutheran Church in Lake Jackson at the encouragement of their pastor. It was warmly and enthusiastically received by the congregation. Birk and his group have continued to play jazz music in worship services and we welcome them back to Moody Church again this year.
