Girls Volleyball League
2012 League Registration Information:
This program is open to all girls in grades 4-8. Registration forms are available online or at the front desk of the Christian Life Center. A $50 fee covers participation in the league, a team shirt, water bottle, and cinch pack. The league runs March 20th through June 2nd. Participants will practice one night per week, Tuesday or Thursday, from 6-7 or 7-8pm. Games will be held on Saturdays beginning at 9am. Each team will play at least six games.
Limited league scholarships of $20 are available to those who meet certain criteria. To inquire about the scholarship process, please contact the CLC Director.
Uniforms:
Your daughter will need to wear athletic shorts or spankies, t-shirts, knee pads, and non-marking tennis shoes for practice. For games they must wear plain black shorts and their team shirt. When choosing knee pads, I recommend the ones made by Tachikara or Nike. Color choice is up to you. (Austin Magnet and Ball High wear black, O'Connell wears white.)
Mandatory Parent Meetings:
All parents must attend one of the following meetings in the gym from 6-6:30pm:

Calling All Coaches:
Each team is lead and coached by volunteers. Our leagues are successful because of esceptional adults, college students, and parents committed to being role models and coaches to your children. If you are interested in becoming a Head or Assistant Coach for one of our teams, please contact the CLC Director.
Responsibilities include:
Filling out Background Check
Attending our 1-hour course for Safe Sanctuary
Coaching your team’s practice for 1 hour, 1 night per week during the season
Coaching your team’s game on Saturdays during the season
Attending the end of season banquet
Summer Camp
Bump, Set, Spike it! That's the way we like it. During summer, the Christian Life Center offers a five-day camp to prepare girls for playing volleyball before school starts. If your daughter wants to play for her school team, this is the best way to warm up her serving arm. Camp is open to all girls entering into grades 4-8. The $25 registration fee includes your daughter's participation and t-shirt.
Camp Dates: August 6-9
Grades 4 and 5 will practice 12:30-2pm.
Grades 6-8 will practice 6-7:30pm.
