Children and Youth Basketball Teams

Girls Volleyball Skills Clinic & 2008 League

Our Christian Life Center (CLC) is designed for the whole family and provides opportunities for all ages to come together for fun, exercise and fellowship in a Christian environment. The CLC is open to everyone in our community. All participants must fill out a Medical/Liability Release Form before using the facility. These forms are available online or at the front desk.

Volunteers are always needed to serve as coaches and referees for all sports. All coaches must be CPR Certified and allow us tp run a background check. Contact the Lisa Wilson at the church office for more information.

The CLC provides equipment for use; basketballs, volleyballs, racquetballs, racquets and glasses, 2 pound weights, jump ropes, footballs, and exertoners are available for check-out at the sports desk in the atrium.

Amenities include a full size gymnasium, racquetball court, aerobics room, and walking track. We will be hosting a variety of athletics activities this year, so check back for the listings. If you have suggestions, please call Lisa Wilson at the CLC Direct Line, (409) 771-9916.

Christian Life Center Fees and Procedures

Members of Moody Memorial First United Methodist Church are not required to pay the annual membership fee to use the Walking Track or the Racquetball Court.

Members and non members of Moody Memorial FUMC are required to register to use the facility. A completed and notarized medical release form is to be submitted annually for use of the facility.

Non Church Member Fees for 2008

Racquetball $100.00 per year
Walking Track $15.00 per year

All Participants, members and non members are required to register and purchase a Photo ID Card for $2.00. Replacement cards cost $5.00.

Co-ed Softball League

We are playing every Tuesday night at Hooper Field on 83rd Street. Come out and cheer us on.

Moody Methodist Men's Basketball 35+

Join us on Wednesday evenings from 8 – 9pm for Open Gym Basketball. All participants must be members of Moody Memorial First United Methodist Church and have a medical release form on file. Form must be notarized to be valid. You must also purchase an ID card for $2.00.

2008 Girls Volleyball League

Games are held on Saturday mornings in April and May at 10am and 11am.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS:

Walking Track

The track is open Monday - Thursday, 7am - 8pm and Friday, 7am - 5pm.

Our indoor walking track is a great place to exercise without worrying about the weather. Come meet new friends as you get in shape. Sixteen (16) laps of the track equals one mile. The fee for non-church members is $15.00 per year. All people using the walking track are required to have a current signed and notarized Medical Release Form in order to walk.
