Childcare is a key component in the life of the church -- both on Sundays and throughout the week. Our nursery department is staffed with paid as well as volunteer workers. All paid staff are certified in Infant/Child CPR and Rescue Breathing. They also attend other training events throughout the year. A brochure describing our nursery and its procedures is available from the education office.
We can always use a pair of extra hands or a warm lap for a child to sit on during the Sunday morning worship hours. If you would like to volunteer to work in the Nursery contact Dolores Lyons at 744-5845.
Moody Day School: For 38 years Moody Church has nurtured children through the Moody Day School. This school offers full day care, pre-school classes and after-school care for children ages 3 months through 8th grade. The summer program consists of full day care and two 3 week summer camps. Registration for the day school is held every March and throughout the year as availablity exists. All staff is trained in early child care and school age classes as well as CPR and First Aid. Sunday School: The children's Sunday School classes use the Exploring Faith literature, a very interactive curriculum of games, stories, art and drama. This resource provides a quarterly cycle of age-appropriate Bible stories from the Old and New Testaments. These stories, paired with learning activities, encourage children to apply the Bible message to their daily lives.
Anchor Time
This special assembly time for all school-age children meets in the Multi-Ministry Room at 9:30am. Following Anchor Time these children go to their age level classes.

Vacation Bible School: Come for Vacation Bible School. VBS will take place Monday through Thursday, during June16 - 19, 2008, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Moody Memorial First United Methodist Church. Put it on your calendar. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities, volunteer options are: Music, Crafts, Games, Snacks, Crew Leaders and Bible Storytellers. Kid's Kaleidoscope: This is a great opportunity to let us take care of and entertain your young ones, while you have a leisurely night out knowing your children are in good hands. Let us help you relax and give your child a fun night too.
