Moody Camping Club
Family Ministries of Moody Methodist Church sponsors the camping club organization. The club plans several campouts each year. It is a fun weekend for families or single persons, old and young alike. Most campouts take place in short driving distance from Galveston to one of our State Parks. Group meal and devotional usually take place on Saturday night during the weekend. Some of our favorite campgrounds are Lake Texana, Stephen F. Austin State Park, Bastrop State Park, Brazos Bend State Park, Garner State Park, and along the Guadalupe River to name a few.
Upcoming we have made reservations for ten (10) campsites at Brazos Bend State Park the weekend of September 25, Friday – Sunday. It is a great park with an observatory, bike trails, and shady campsites. The cost is $50 for the weekend, plus entrance fees to the park if you don’t have a Conservation Pass. Entrance fees are $5/person/day for everyone age 13 and over.
